We do not fear the dark — for we carry the light into it. We go to the lost where they are and meet them in their darkest hour. And when you're ready to climb out of the hole, the first move is yours: put down the shovel. Whatever keeps digging it deeper — the addiction, the habits, the old life — has to be laid down before you can take the first rung. Then we'll hold the ladder steady and coach you all the way up. But we will not climb it for you.

What we do
Second Vessel Homes are supportive homes for people who need a steady hand — reminders to take their medications, help with meals, a little assistance getting through the day, and the simple power of companionship. We take in people the world has written off and give them structure, accountability, and a community that refuses to give up on them.
We also help with the real-life necessities nobody ever taught them — getting an ID, a Social Security card, a birth certificate, figuring out how to pay off fines, sorting out a driver's license. The paperwork of surviving in the real world.
Nobody has to be perfect to walk through our door. They just have to put down the shovel and be willing to climb.
Why “The 99”

No one is a lost cause.
Jesus spoke of leaving the ninety-nine to seek the one who was lost. That is the heart behind our name. Every person matters. We go toward people others may pass by, meet them where they are, and stay beside them as they rebuild.

I’m Jason.
I started The 99 Project on a simple belief from Luke 15:7: the one is worth going after. This isn’t just something I read in a book or the Bible—I’ve lived it. I was lost myself, and Jesus came and found me, brought me back to the herd, and helped me come through on the other side. Now I want to find people who feel lost or left behind and walk beside them toward a second chance—a safe place, honest work, and a real opportunity to begin again.

Dignity is the model.
We hold the ladder steady while people climb. We do not climb it for them.
That is what makes this different from a handout program. Support removes a practical barrier, but each person still takes the steps: showing up, doing the work, and rebuilding a life they can carry forward.

Covers a resident’s birth certificate and state ID—the documents that can unlock work, housing, and services.

Covers a week of meals in a Second Vessel home, including groceries, shared staples, and household basics.

Helps cover most of a month of groceries for one adult at the USDA Thrifty Food Plan benchmark, or combines food with basic hygiene supplies.

Helps a resident secure documents, work-ready clothing, transportation to appointments, and essential household supplies.

Helps sustain several weeks of food, transportation, documentation, and daily support as one resident works a rebuilding plan.

Major support can help open and strengthen the home itself—from safety improvements and furnishings to the operating runway that keeps the door open.
Members may choose to be named among the founding supporters and receive personal mission updates from Jason, with resident dignity and privacy protected.
